Carmen
A social butterfly, Carmen has a broad range of diverse friends. She loves her school, does well there, and wants to stay connected with classmates after her move to an adoptive home. Carmen likes crafts and is artistic, though she also loves active pursuits. Carmen is a determined, bright, and energetic young lady.
Carmen hopes for a family that has other children, attends a Christian church, and has pets. She would enjoy sharing a room with a sister. Carmen would really appreciate a dog, but says a hamster would also be nice. Like most girls her age, Carmen would appreciate helping to care for a baby. Mostly, Carmen expresses a desire for parents "who love me" and "are nice," and a home where she knows the rules and can quickly adjust.
Carmen's team will consider parents who are mellow, experienced in parenting children who've had a tough start in life, and able to work with their committed Anchorage team to help her reach her full potential. Carmen has siblings, Alex and Yashira, also featured on the Heart Gallery AK. The team will considering placing Carmen with one or both of her siblings, with the right family. Carmen's team is counting on parents that will keep Carmen connected to her siblings.
Each Heart Gallery of Alaska profile is a strengths-based portrait and is not intended to provide details needed to make adoption placement decisions. Additional child-specific information may be provided to families who have completed licensing and training requirements.
