Yashira is a girlie-girl who loves fashion and hopes to one day become a famous singer and dancer. Creative and imaginative, she enjoys drawing, swimming, and playing piano. Although Yashira likes dogs and horses, she is not a fan of cats. She loves to help bake cookies and will try just about any food- spaghetti is her favorite! A bright and organized student, Yashira does well academically.

Yashira says she wants a mom and a dad and would enjoy having pets. When asked, Yashira states that she wants a family "that will love [her] for always."

Yashira’s team will consider parents who are mellow, experienced in parenting children who've had a tough start in life, and able to work with a committed team of professionals to help her reach her full potential. Yashira needs parents who can help her maintain connections with her siblings and other people who are important to her.

Yashira’s sister, Carmen, is also featured on the Heart Gallery of Alaska. The girls’ team will consider placing them together, with the right family.
