Micah is a smart, intuitive, creative youth who loves music, specifically rap, Christian, and country music, and everything Minecraft.  He hopes to be matched with a two-parent home that can understand and support his heritage. Micah uses his creativity for activities like doing art, playing video games, and exploring his interests. Micah aspires to be a geologist when he grows up and has an interest in joining the military—he has a clear vision of his future self and who he wants to become so reminders that are concrete help refocus him on his vision for himself. Micah shares that he hopes to live in a home that centers itself on reliability and honesty.

Micah wishes to have a family that can help him establish healthy boundaries and hold him accountable, set limits while nurturing him.  He responds well to being given choices (not being told what to do) and when his feelings are acknowledged, he feels heard. Micah has ties to the Pacific Northwest, and it is important to him that his forever family helps him maintain a relationship with past safe connections. Micah is in need of a healing home, who shares his faith in Jesus Christ, to help him process past grief and trauma, and perhaps even a family with a dog for a companion. Micah is hoping to be a part of a big family that can cheer him on through the ups and downs of life.

Micah's team will consider inquiries outside of Alaska, from families that have experience with youth from hard places and are willing to be trained to provide the best support possible for Micah.
